Casement Windows
Casement windows are the more traditional style of window and are the oldest type in the UK. They are the most popular as the design gives so much versatility.
A casement window is hinged at the side, although may be hung from the top and is usually fitted in single or double panels. Casement windows have many variations in layout to make different window styles from single, double or more panels.

Flush Casement Windows
A beautiful design which Norton Windows supply, makes the exterior face of your window a flush fitting; i.e. it doesn’t stand proud of the frame as traditional casement windows do. This means that there is no visible lip when looking at your window from outside.
When the window is closed, it fits flush into the outer frame, so it sits in line with the face of the window. The result is a very attractive, aesthetically pleasing appearance which gives your home a modern contemporary look similar to the slim styling of aluminium windows.
This type & style is becoming very popular, due to their neat clean lines and flat finish, making the frames easier to clean and maintain.
Sash Windows
Sash windows are made up of 2 panels, 1 of which is fixed while the second slides over the other to create an opening. Normally, the movable panel slides upwards but sash windows that open horizontally are also available.
Sash windows slide to open and don’t swing outwards or inwards, therefore making sash windows ideal where space is at a premium.
